Hearing aids come in six main styles. These styles are divided into two categories: custom fit and standard fit.
As the name implies, custom fit hearing aids are custom molded to your ear. Ears are even more unique than fingerprints. So every custom hearing aid is truly one-of-a-kind.
Standard fit hearing aids, on the other hand, are typically worn over the ear and have thin, clear tubing with small rubber or silicone buds that fit into the ear rather than a custom shell.
Some hearing aids are a mix of both categories. For example, some hearing aids worn behind the ear can have custom earmolds attached to them.
